after their previous match ends. No delays, no pauses—keep the tournament moving! - No Overtime Policy: There will be NO OVERTIME. Matches must conclude within the allotted time, with ties
resolved by the tiebreaker rules below. No exceptions!
Tournament Structure
- Teams: 10 teams, seeded randomly or by organizer discretion.
- Matches: 9 total matches (10 – 1 = 9, as each match eliminates one team).
- Rounds:
- Round 1: 6 teams play (3 matches), 4 teams receive byes.
- Round 2 (Quarterfinals): 8 teams (3 winners + 4 bye teams) → 4 matches.
- Round 3 (Semifinals): 4 winners → 2 matches.
- Round 4 (Final): 2 winners → 1 match.
Match Rules
- Game Mode: Standard Valorant Competitive (13-round halves, first to 13 wins, adjusted for time).
- Time Limit per Match: Approximately 55 minutes (500 minutes ÷ 9 matches ≈ 55.56 minutes each). Matches must
conclude within this time. - Maps: Pre-selected by organizers, announced before each round. No map vetoes to save time.
- Sides: Coin flip (in-game or by admin) determines starting side.
- Equipment: Teams provide their own PCs, peripherals, and stable internet. No delays for technical issues—play or
forfeit. - Substitutions: One substitute per team allowed, must be registered pre-tournament. Substitutions only between
matches, not mid-game.
No Breaks Emphasis
- ABSOLUTELY NO BREAKS: The tournament runs continuously for 8 hours and 20 minutes. Once a match ends, the next
match begins immediately on the same server (if feasible) or after a 1-minute setup period handled by admins.
Teams must stay at their stations, ready to queue. No bathroom breaks, food breaks, or rest periods are
scheduled—plan accordingly!
No Overtime Emphasis
- NO OVERTIME UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES: If a match reaches its 55-minute limit or ends 12-12:
- Tiebreaker: The team with the most total kills across all rounds wins.
- If kills are equal, the team with the most successful plants/defuses wins.
- If still tied, the team with the higher seed (or random draw pre-tournament) advances.
- This ensures every match ends on time, no exceptions!
Timing and Scheduling
- Total Time: 8 hours and 20 minutes (500 minutes).
- Match Duration: Each of the 9 matches is capped at ~55 minutes, with 1 table (no concurrency), fitting the exact
time frame. - Schedule:
- Round 1 (3 matches): 0:00 – 2:45 (165 minutes).
- Round 2 (4 matches): 2:45 – 5:40 (220 minutes).
- Round 3 (2 matches): 5:40 – 7:15 (110 minutes).
- Round 4 (1 match): 7:15 – 8:20 (55 minutes).
- Admin Enforcement: Matches start precisely on schedule. Late teams forfeit.
Conduct and Penalties
- Punctuality: Teams must be in the lobby 2 minutes before their match. Failure to join = forfeit.
- Behavior: No toxicity, cheating, or exploits. Violations result in immediate disqualification.
- Disconnects: Play continues unless 3+ players disconnect simultaneously; then, admins may pause briefly (max 2
minutes) to restore, but no extra time is added.
